Committees

This page provides the Club Administrator with the ability to create and manage Committees associated with the Club, including the Executive Committee.

 

The mandatory positions in the Executive Committee are -

  • Chairman
  • Vice Chairman
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Registrar
  • Player Representative

 

Committees are created, managed and maintained on the system in the same manner as Teams and Groups.

The Communications functionality can be used to send SMS and Email messages to Committee members defined on the system.

 

 

View Committees 

The full list of Committees associated with the Club are displayed in the Committees table by default.

The Records Per Page drop down control can be updated to adjust the number of Committees listed within the Committees table.

The following details are displayed for each Committees:

  • Committee Name
  • Description
  • Number of Members
  • Date Created
  • Date Last Modified

Reset Committee(s)

To reset the list of Members associated with a Committee perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Committees page.

2. Click the checkboxes associated with each of the Committees you wish to reset.

3. Click the Reset button.

4. Click Yes on the pop-up to confirm that you wish to reset the selected Committee(s).

5. The specified Committee(s) will be marked as reset.

6. The Groups Table will be refreshed and the Number of Members counts for the specified Committee will be reset to zero.

 

Delete Committee(s)

To delete one or more Committees perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Committees page.

2. Click the checkboxes associated with each of the Committees you wish to delete.

3. Click the Delete button.

4. Click Yes on the pop-up to confirm that you wish to delete the selected Group(s).

5. The specified Committee(s) will be deleted from the system.

6. The Committees Table will be refreshed and the deleted teams removed.

NOTE – Deletion of a Committee does not result in the deletion of the Members associated with it.
 
NOTE - You cannot delete the Executive Committee
 
 

Add a Committee

To add a new Committee and associate Members with it perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Committees page.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Step 1 – Add Group Details

a. Provide a value for the Committee Name (Required).

b. Provide a value for the Committee Description (Optional).

c. Click the Next button.

4. Step 2 – Add Members

a. Select the Members from the left hand table that you wish to add to the Committee. By default all Club Members will be listed\available within the left hand table. The list of Members can be adjusted using the Search function at the top of the page.

b. Click the Add button to move the selected Members to the right hand table.

OR

Drag and drop the selected Members to the right hand table.

c. Click the Next button.

5. Step 3 - Add Positions

You are presented with a table with a list of possible Committee positions and the left and a drop down of the members selected in step 2 on the right

NOTE- You may need to add your own committee positions by clicking on the Add button and typing in the relevant Committee Position into the pop-up

a. Select a member from the drop down lists for each of the positions (optional)

b. Click the Finish button

6. A confirmation message is displayed and the Committee is created.

 

Edit a Committee 

To edit an existing Committee perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Committees page.

2. Click the Name of the Committee you wish to update or edit.

3. Step 1 – Add Committee Details

a. Update the values assigned to the following properties, if required:

  • Name
  • Description

b. Click the Next button.

4. Step 2 – Add Members

a. Select the Members from the left hand table that you wish to add to the Committee. By default all Club Members will be listed\available within the left hand table. The list of Members can be adjusted using the Search function at the top of the page.

b. Click the Add button to move the selected Members to the right hand table.

OR

Drag and drop the selected Members to the right hand table.

c. Reverse steps ‘a’ and ‘b’ above to remove Members from the Committee.

d. Click the Next button.

5. Step 3 - Add Positions & Assignees 

a. Assign a position to a member by selecting them from the relevant drop down.

b. To Add Committee Positions click the Add button and type the name of the position into the pop-up. 

6. A confirmation message is displayed and the Committee is updated.
