Groups

This page provides Club Administrator with the ability to create and manage Groups associated with the Club.

The primary purpose of Groups on the system is for Communications. i.e. SMS and Email messages can be sent to Group members via the Communications section of the system.

This section includes:

 

View Groups

The full list of Groups associated with the Club are displayed in the Groups table by default.

The Records Per Page drop down control can be updated to adjust the number of Groups listed within the Groups table.

The following details are displayed for each Group:

  • Group Name
  • Description
  • Number of Members
  • Date Created
  • Date Last Modified

Reset Groups(s)

To reset the list of Members associated with a Group perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Groups page.

2. Click the checkboxes associated with each of the Groups you wish to reset.

3. Click the Reset button.

4. Click Yes on the pop-up to confirm that you wish to reset the selected Group(s).

5. The specified Groups(s) will be marked as reset.

6. The Groups Table will be refreshed and the Number of Members counts for the specified Groups will be reset to zero.

 

Delete Groups(s)

To delete one or more Groups perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Groups page.

2. Click the checkboxes associated with each of the Groups you wish to delete.

3. Click the Delete button.

4. Click Yes on the pop-up to confirm that you wish to delete the selected Group(s).

5. The specified Groups(s) will be deleted from the system.

6. The Groups Table will be refreshed and the deleted teams removed.

 

NOTE – Deletion of a Group does not result in the deletion of the Members associated with it.

 

Add a Group

To add a new Group and associate Members with it perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Groups page.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Step 1 – Add Group Details

a. Provide a value for the Group Name (Required).

b. Provide a value for the Group Description (Optional).

c. Click the Next button.

4. Step 2 – Add Members

a. Select the Members from the left hand table that you wish to add to the Group. By default all Club Members will be listed\available within the left hand table. The list of Members can be adjusted using the Search function at the top of the page.

b. Click the Add button to move the selected Members to the right hand table.

OR

Drag and drop the selected Members to the right hand table.

c. Click the Finish button.

5. A confirmation message is displayed and the Group is created.

Edit a Group Team

To edit an existing Group perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Groups page.

2. Click the Name of the Group you wish to update or edit.

3. Step 1 – Add Group Details

a. Update the values assigned to the following properties, if required:

  • Name
  • Description

b. Click the Next button.

4. Step 2 – Add Members

a. Select the Members from the left hand table that you wish to add to the Group. By default all Club Members will be listed\available within the left hand table. The list of Members can be adjusted using the Search function at the top of the page.

b. Click the Add button to move the selected Members to the right hand table.

OR

 Drag and drop the selected Members to the right hand table.

c. Reverse steps ‘a’ and ‘b’ above to remove Members from the Group.

d. Click the Finish button.

5. A confirmation message is displayed and the Group is updated.

 

Adding a Group via the View Members page

It is possible to add a group via the View Members page by performing the following instructions:

  • Go to Members > View Members
  • Tick the check boxes of the members you want to group
  • Click the Group button
  • Enter a name and description (optional) of the group
  • Click Next
  • Check that the members in the right hand table are correct 
  • If not check the appropriate checkboxes and click the Remove button 
    • OR drag and drop the members into the left hand table
  • If there are other members you want to add, find them in the left hand table, 
    • check the appropriate checkboxes and click add 
    • OR drag and drop them into the right hand table
  • Click Finish
