Player Injury Benefit Fund

The Player Injury Benefit Fund section provides the Club Administrator and Injury Benefit Fund Administrator users with the ability to register teams with the Player Injury Benefit Fund.

NOTES:

  • The Player Injury Benefit Fund cover is on a calendar year basis and runs from Jan 1 to Dec 31. The previous years registration does not carry over to the current years registration.
  • Teams must be registered annually, on or as soon as possible after 1st January each year. Registration and payment of team subscriptions must be completed before any teams are permitted to field in an official fixture or training.

 


 

View Player Injury Benefit Fund History

Click on the Player Injury Benefit Fund tab to view the Player Injury Benefit Fund History table.

 

The table displays the following information -

  • Year: This value indicates the Year on which the submission for Player Injury Benefit Fund cover was made.
  • File Number: Indicates your unique Club File Number submitted to the Player Injury Benefit Fund administrators.
  • Date Created: This indicates the original date on which a submission was made for Player Injury Benefit Fund cover.
  • Date Submitted: This indicates the last date on which the submission for Player Injury Benefit Fund cover was last updated or modified.
  • Amount Paid: This value indicates the total amount paid by the Club for Player Injury Benefit Fund cover for the year\season in question.
  • Outstanding: This value indicates the current outstanding amount owed by the Club as payment for Player Injury Benefit Fund cover for the year\season in question.
  • Payment Status: This value indicates the payment status for the year\season in question.

Complete Player Injury Benefit Fund for the Current Season.

To renew Player Injury Benefit Fund cover perform the following steps:

  1. 1. Navigate to the Player Injury Benefit Fund section.
  2. 2. Click the Register Teams button.
    1. NOTE – The 'Register Teams' button is only available at the start of each season. The button does not appear after an application for the Player Injury Benefit Fund Cover has been submitted.
  3. Enter the Club Administrator and Injury Fund Administrator contact details.
    1. Note - You must provide your official GAA club email address which ends in gaa.ie.
    2. Note- Click on the defaulted prefix to change the prefix to the appropriate one for your phone number.
    3. Click the Next button.
  4. Specify the number of teams to be covered at within each Team grade. Once you have specified the number of teams, click the Next button. Please note, grades are grouped into the following categories:
    1. Adult
    2. Youth
    3. U21
    4. Educational Bodies/Interfirms
  5. Click the Next button to see a Summary of the Transaction. Please note, on the Summary of the Transaction, you will notice that it says Claims Loading or Claims Discount this will amount will depend on the band that you have been allocated to by the GAA. 
  6. Click Finish.
  7. The specified details are submitted to both Croke Park and the Player Injury Benefit Fund providers.
  8. Emails confirming the form submission are sent to the Club Secretary and Injury Benefit Fund Administrator. The Email also details the total amount owed.

Edit an existing Player Injury Benefit Fund submission

To edit an existing Player Injury Benefit Fund submission perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Player Injury Benefit Fund section.

2. Click the appropriate Year link.

NOTE – Player Injury Benefit Fund submissions can only be edited for the current year/season; i.e. 2017.

3. Edit the number of teams to be covered within each Team grade.

4. You can also edit the Name and contact details for the following Club Members:

  • Club Secretary
  • Club Injury Fund Administrator

5. Click the Next button.

6. The summary of the renewal will be displayed.

7. Click the Finish button.

7. The updated details are submitted to both Croke Park and the Player Injury Fund administrators.

8. Emails confirming the form submission are sent to the Club Secretary and Injury Benefit Fund Administrator.

 

Team Subscription Rates

 

The breakdown of Player Injury Benefit Fund registration costs per team are as follows:

 *This reflects the maximum cost that will be charged no matter how many teams are insured.

 

 

Period of Cover

 

Cover under the GAA Injury Benefit Fund operates from Jan 1st to Dec 31st each year. Registration and payment of subscriptions must be completed before any team are permitted to field in official fixture or training.

 

Coaches Details

When a club generates their Player Injury Benefit Fund invoice they can now complete the coaches details information. For every team that has been registered for the Player Injury Benefit fund can have the details of one of their coaches added to this section.

The list of the coaches information that can be recorded for each team is;

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Grade
    • Foundation Award
    • Award 1
    • Award 2
    • Award 3

This information can then be viewed by the GAA to see the level of coaching there is throughout the country.
